Music bands in the Piano Rouge


Monika Wołowczyk & Blue Transfer
The Blue Transfer Band is formed by Cracow professional musicians, having the rich professional past and experience in making different kinds of music. They have very rich and diverse repertoire: from jazz standards through evergreens, blues and rock & roll, to modern rock music. Monika’s warm velvet voice makes her new fans all the time.

Sylwia Stańczyk
Vocalist singing at Cracow scenes for years. She participated successfully in many jazz, and others music competitions. In her repertoire you can find full of delicate rhythms bossa nova and sambas as well as swinging jazz standards.
She also sings the greatest hits of Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Louis Armstrong and Norah Jones.

Alina Radziwanowska
Alina Radziwanowska graduated from Jazz Institute in Katowice , she won the 2nd award on the International Festival of Jazz Vocalists in Zamość in 2004r. and was a finalist at Jazz Festivals Siedlce 2005. Together with her trio: Jacek Korohoda - the guitar and Grzegorz Bąk - double bass, she’s performing known and popular jazz and soul songs. In the Band repertoire are also elements of modern R&B and their own compositions.

Gosia Markowska Band
Cracovian jazz vocalist, Public Music High School in Cracov graduate. She is a laureate of many competitions and vocal festivals. She succeeds performing pop jazz, latin jazz, jazz standards, co soul and bossanova as well.She has been giving concerts with her own jazz band for a few years already having such musicians as: Rafał Stępień – keyboarder, Department of Jazz and Light Music at Music Academy in Katowice graduate, Józef Michalik – bassist with a great symphonic and jazz experience, Marek Olma – percussionist, Music Academy in Cracov graduate, Leszek Nowotarski – sax, Jan Pilch – percussionist, soloist and member of chamber orchestra, Michał Jurkiewicz – kbds, Music Academy in Cracov graduate.Michał has been cooperating with Grzegorz Turnau since 2005 as a member of his band. This young and uncommonly talented musician works on compositions and arrangements. He was a music manager of many concerts and TV programs.

Maja Tomaszewska Band The band performs standards of jazz and pop music. A concert given by them is unforgettable music journey which leaves a pleasant and nice memory. Experience of these great musicians and the vocalist’s charisma as well as a sensual voice make their concerts very popular.Gerta Szymańska – percussion, Jarek Kaganiec – keyboard instruments, Marek Kraupa – Saxophones, Ewi , Maja Tomaszewska – vocal.

PAULINA KUJAWSKA
The jazz vocalist graduated from Jazz Academy in Katowice and student at Hochschule fuer Musik in Koeln (), leader of the formation Paulina Savah Band. From the year 2000 she is a teacher at the Jazz School in Cracow .

Jazz Trio-Niedzielin/Piętak/Olma
Willingness of realizing own musical ideas and the proposal to record and to issue album were an impulse to the uprising the Kreszendo band. Atmosphere of Cracow jazz clubs, where the band could present their music helped a lot. The band recorded an album “Stało się” in 2003 (Sony Music Polska). Kreszendo music is a kind of smooth jazz, compositions on the record have the acoustic and swing character interlaced with funky.

Kaja Karaplios
Talented vocalist, student at the Jazz Academy in Katowice . In her repertoire you can find jazz standards, romantic ballades and pop hits. Impressive, moving Kaja’s voice often calls in listeners true "goose's skin".

Magda Mitoń Band
Vocalist Magda Mitoń and all musicians are young people, participants of programs promoting young talents. Moreover members of the band performed at side of such artists as: Edyta Geppert, Andrzej Zaucha, Marcin Daniec, Grzegorz Skawiński, Dżem. The band is performing dance music (Polish and foreign: 60., 70., 80., 90. and modern) also traditional and modern jazz.

Aspirin free
Vocalist of the band Alina Radziwanowska graduated at Jazz Institute in Katowice , she won the 2nd award on the International Festival of Jazz Vocalists in Zamość in 2004r. and was a finalist at Jazz Festivals Siedlce 2005. The band is playing the jazz, soul and the pop music.

Dosis

The band consists of: Dorota Boczkowska – vocal; Jakub Pytka – guitars, vocal; Paweł Hebda – guitars; Wojciech Famielec – bass; Grzegorz Fieber – percussion; and it serves a strong dose of explosive mixture of pop, rock, funky and latino. A strong and uncommon singer’s voice interlaces with a virtuoso show of guitarists and all this set in an electrifying bassist’s and drummer’s groove.

Ivo

(Iwona Kmiecik) student at Music Academy in Katowice at her 2^nd year. In her repertoire there are interpretations of hits of such foreign musicians like A. Keys, Sting, E. Badu, Seal, S. Brown, R. Charles. You can also hear beautiful polish compositions of Czesław Niemen or Ewa Bem and also her own songs. All this with her own accompaniment. Impressive vocal and piano sounds provide unforgettable journey to the music world.

Smooth Trio

means Ewa Niewdana, Mirek Hady, Kamil Baranski. Songs that they perform are a mixture of soul, pop and jazz. There are well known hits of great artists in acoustic versions that surprise with their freshness and untypical arrangements.

Quintet “A lot of Alcohol”

was funded in 2005 in Cracov as an extension of duet “Elokwencja”. Both these bands function interchangeably – the duet plays in clubs, mainly on Sundays, Mondays; the quintet on party weekends. Their  diverse repertoire enables to satisfy almost everyone. They play popular jazz standards and songs of all kinds, always 100% live! In their repertoire there is about 150 songs – polish and foreign. Ela Kulpa amaze with her talent and stage easiness, Vitaliy Ivanov – Ukrainian master of saxophone will not disappoint even the choosiest enthusiasts of jazz, Jarema Pogwizd plays piano or keyboard and rhythmic section – Paweł Kluba (bass guitar) and Michał Peiker (percussion) care for to “not interrupt in conversation” if there is such need but they definitely prefer to play lively and produce appropriate pulse and they really do it professionally – just like cracov’s and katowice’s Music Academy graduates should do.

Marysia Podhorecka & Grzegorz Gyrboś

Maria Podhorecka – PSM in Cracov, 2^nd level graduate at piano and song faculty. She was a student of Andrzej Zarycki. Awarded at many festivals and reviews. She is a permanent performer of cracovian music stage. She is the author of lyrics and compositions. In 2005 together with ProContra band she recorded an album called “Nieostatni” (Not The Last One). Grzegorz Gryboś – guitarist, trombonist, compositor, Music Academy in Cracov graduate. Valued as a stage and session musician who creates also his own projects. Participant of many national and foreign jazz festivals.

Maria Podhorecka and Grzegorz Gryboś have been playing  in a duet for over two years now. In their repertoire there are jazz standards, well known or unknown songs in interesting arrangements and also their own compositions.

“Elokwencja”

musical duet of vocalist Ela Kulpa (“Old Metropolitan Band”) and pianist Jarema Pogwizd (“Pudelsi”). They perform well known jazz standards, ballads, bossa-nova, popular music hits. Ela Kulpa – professional actor who delights with her vocal talent and a great stage easiness with a romantic accompaniment of a huge (195 tall) pianist.

Niezdgoda Acustic Band

is a five-person band created by musicians who derive from Cracov’s Jazz School . The quintet stylistically suits to the ambience of jazz of fifties and sixties, and it has a specific warm and calm sound of jazz standards.

Łukasz Gall

band performs romantic pop ballads of 90’s, e.g. Bryan Adams, Wgitesnalce, Toto, Bon Jovi. Subtle keyboard’s, acoustic guitar’s  and vocals’ tones produce an amazing ambience.

Swing Affaire

The band’s repertoire is formed by swing music, jazz and pop in interesting and original arrangements. It is filled up with changeable atmosphere and ambience, expression and a good sense.

A vocalist in this band is Joanna Pawlikowska who has a wonderful velvety voice that was appreciated at many competitions, festivals and concerts. In 2007 she was awarded in a special edition of Szansa Na Sukces TV program with Agnieszka Osiecka’s songs. She was performing together with such stars of polish stage as Anna Treter, Jacek Wójcicki, Robert Kasprzycki.
